He is a geomorphologist, University Researcher in Earth Sciences since 2004.Visit researcher at the CNAM Institute (Paris) during the 2006. Post-doc researcher in the Department of Earth Science of the University of Pisa from 1999 to 2004. PhD doctor in Earth Sciences in 1999.Visit researcher at Department of Geography of the University of Zurich in 1998. BS in Earth Sciences in 1995.
The research interests concern with glacial and periglacial landforms and processes in several mountain sectors of European Alps and elsewhere, as well as with geophysical applications (Electrical Resistivity Tomography, Ground Penetrating Radar) to geomorphology and geoarchaeology.
Among the others, currently he is involved in projects aimed at the reconstruction of sea level oscillation during the Quaternary along the Patagonian coast through geomorphological markers.
Author of more than 25 papers on peer-reviewed journals and books.
